Love python

I’ve recently moved to Arizona as some of you may know and I’m in the middle of looking for a motorcycle. I’ve been in love with the BMW GS since I first saw one. Here’s an example I’m hotlinking to.

Anway I’ve been searching Craigslist for one of these bikes and they are pretty rare, I realized i needed to search multiple Craigslists to have any hope of finding one, but this is time consuming and since Python rocks, I figured I’d whip up a multi search.
Well it works pretty damm well. So far this is what my output looks like:
Searching for BMW GS
Phoenix
1988 R100GS, Expedition Ready! $6700
2005 BMW 1200 GS $14750
BMW 1200 RS 1998 RED w/bmw hard bags and options $8450
BMW R1100GS 1995
Flagstaff
Tucson
Los Angeles
SanDiego
89 BMW R100GS white $3400
BMW R1100GS -1999- RED first owner $5000
Las Vegas
2001 BMW F650 GS ONLY 2800 MILES $5500
Alburqueque
Amarillo
I’d link you right to a working version but for now it’s a command line app, and this host doesn’t support Python yet. I’m thinking of expanding the system with some interactivity and maps. Maybe something that guesses your location and lets you search for cars trucks and motorcycles within some radius. We’ll see if I get some time, if I do its Django time. By the way its 85 Lines of python, including 2 class defiinitions that make it easy to expand.
