Wakeup With iTunes (version 2)
Mar 9th, 2006 by jbloom
I’ve reimplemented my earlier console based iTunes alarm clock as a windows application.
So now you people who are scared of the command line can wake up with ease too!
Also I missed .Net and Visual Studio so it was fun to get back in there.
Here’s a screen shot:
Download the installer Install Wakeup With iTunes.msi
You will need the .Net framework 2.0 installed. The installer will prompt you to download and install it if you need it. You can also download it from Microsoft
Any questions or comments let me know.

Instructions:
- Start the program (it’ll be in your Start Menu).
- Choose a playlist from the list.
- Set your wakeup time.
- Check the Wake Me Up? box
- Optional. Check the Ramp up Volume? box to have iTunes slowly increase the volume as it begins playing. (Highly recommended, actually now that I think about it I should have just made this the standard behavior and not even have the check box)
Then wait for the set time and iTunes will start playing.
Note: This won’t work if your computer is Off or has been put into sleep or hibernate mode. (If anyone wants to donate some resources I could probably add support for waking the computer from hibernate mode…)
